Justin's Diary

Before my surgery:
I always had trouble in my daily life. Always needing my glasses I couldn’t even see 5 feet in front of my face! Not to mention that my daughter had broken two pairs of my glasses.

Day of surgery:
I can’t tell you how nervous I was! But I was also excited. It was a dream to win this! I am so grateful. The surgery was in and out; before I knew it I was in the recovery room! I thought to myself wow this really happened, it wasn’t a dream. I went home and took a nap, at first my eyes were a little sensitive, but even with the lights on the dim setting I could see! It seemed like every time I put my drops in my eyes, I could see better! I couldn’t wait for the full results! I expected it to be more painful, but to my surprise there was no pain at all! If only all procedures were like this!

Day One:
I woke up and took my eye protectors off, blinked to wet my eyes and there it was, 8:43. I could see it plain as day. My alarm is across the room and I could read it without my glasses! It was not a dream! I called Natalie at work and had to tell her how good I could see! She was very happy! It seemed all through the day my sight got better, and I felt so good I wanted to go on a run, but I knew that Natalie would have my head on a plate for not resting.

Ski Trip:
The day after Christmas we left for Colorado to ski, and I was so excited to ski without my glasses fogging in my ski goggles! We got out on the slopes and it was so fantastic to ski without having to stop all the time and cleaning off my glasses to get the fog off. It made such a difference in the trip! I am very excited to go hunting and do target practice! I'm sure that I will do even better than with my glasses!

I just wanted to thank the doctors and all the clinic staff for being so great and giving me this gift! Everyone was so nice and respectful. A nurse even called me that same night of my surgery to make sure that I was doing okay ... that really shows that they really do care and are a great place to go! I will recommend everyone I know to Sutton, Linder & Sutton; I've never felt so comfortable in a doctor’s office! You have shown me that good things do happen to good people and I can’t say enough; thank you! I have nothing but good thoughts and memories of my surgery. I can’t believe that I can see so well! It is truly a dream come true...
