After almost 50 years of being dependent on glasses or contacts, I finally elected at the age of 63 to undergo LASIK surgery. I was amazed to wake up the morning after the surgery and look out the window without any glasses, or any correction of any kind, and see houses a mile away in detail. I find I can do most things, including some reading, without lenses of any kind. I still need glasses for fine print or surgery, but we need to wear eye protection in surgery anyway. LASIK surgery has changed my life.
