I have been wearing glasses for the last 10 years. I have to depend on them every day, all day. I have tried contacts in the past but they were very uncomfortable for me. So I had no choice but to continue wearing glasses.

I'm a single parent of an almost 6-year-old daughter. I hardly receive any child support.  When I do, it's just $10 here and there. So, you can imagine I live on a very tight budget.  I'm a nurse and work a full time job plus a second job just to have enough finances to raise my daughter. I have wanted the LASIK procedure ever since it became popular. I hate wearing glasses. They rub behind my ears and around my nose. I have already had a lesion removed from the side of my nose that was caused from my glasses rubbing. I hate wearing my glasses in photos, so I take them off most of the time. I can't even take my daughter outside and enjoy being with her especially in the summer because it's so bright and I have to constantly squint my eyes, which then eventually gives me a headache.  I don't own a pair of prescription sunglasses because I can't afford them.

In May my mother and father had to move into different housing to accommodate my daughter and me because I could not afford to live by myself. I'm able to afford my car payment, insurance and all the regular bills plus clothes for my daughter. There is nothing extra. I have money on the day I get paid for the bills and then have no money until I get paid 2 weeks later.

Knowing my situation I asked to be considered for this procedure. I think it is so wonderful that you offer your services free to three candidates. Please consider me. This would be life changing for me.
